KINGSPORT — Dr. Michael Menz of Greeneville received the “2004 Outstanding Philanthropist Award” Wednesday from the Mountain Empire Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).

Also, at a luncheon celebrating National Philanthropy Day, Greeneville Alderman Sarah Webster received the organization’s “Outstanding Volunteer” award, and the Greeneville-based Mary G.K. Fox Foundation was named the outstanding foundation for the year in this region.

In all, seven Greene Countians were listed among the 11 individuals honored as nominees in various categories.
