"The Greater New Orleans Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) celebrated a quarter century plus one by honoring worthy individuals and organizations at the Philanthropy Day Luncheon. Five were hailed as 'outstanding': East Jefferson General Hospital Executive Director J. Stanley Maher (fundraising professional); the Collins C. Diboll Private Foundation (foundation, and represented by David Edwards); Lockheed Martin Space Systems (corporate philanthropist, and represented by Marion LaNasa, director of public affairs); M. Cleland Powell (volunteer fund raiser); and, in the Outstanding Philanthropist category, Anne Gauthier and daughters Celeste, Cherie and Michelle. Laura Politz represented the Junior League of New Orleans, the recipient of the Board of Directors Award. She is the League's president."
