Neighbor Newspapers - National Philanthropy Day honors adults students: "The Association of Fundraising Professionals’ greater Atlanta chapter recently honored two longtime Atlanta leaders at its 32nd annual celebration of National Philanthropy Day, held at the Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta. Retired Equifax CEO Thomas F. Chapman received the Philanthropist of the Year award and Alvin Sugarman, rabbi emeritus of The Temple, was honored as Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year. In addition, Junior League of Atlanta President Jennifer Bennecke took home the Philanthropic Leader of Tomorrow honor. The Teen Volunteers of the Year were Woodward Academy eighth-grader Samantha Rose Humphrey, Brookwood High School junior Ji “Jenny” Choi and Alpharetta High School junior Josh Seides, in order from first through third place.
