That's the theme of National Philanthropy Day, and today the Bay Area's nonprofit community gathers to celebrate efforts to make the world a better place. Their positive impact is immense. Annually, Americans give more than $241 billion to nonprofits, which collectively represent 11 percent of the U.S. economy."
