Tuesday marked the fourth year Regina has celebrated National Philanthropy Day, and with it, came the city's fourth annual Philanthropy Awards.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) brought Regina's charitable community out in full-force with a ceremony attended by more than 250 people. Two annual honours -- for the outstanding fundraising executive, taken home by Peggy MacDonald, and outstanding fundraising volunteer, awarded to Donald Black -- were joined this year by two new awards; for the outstanding corporate philanthropic award, and an award for this year's outstanding individual philanthropist. The new trophies were given, this year, to Conexus Credit Union, and Jacquie Shumiatcher, respectively."
