'We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.'
Winston Churchill understood the importance of service to the community. Individuals in the Commonwealth of Virginia serve the community in which they live through participating in community activities, volunteering for local organizations or financially supporting a nonprofit entity.
These contributions may sometimes go unnoticed by the larger public. However, these individuals and their donation of time and money are the lifeblood of nonprofit organizations throughout the area."
