Luncheon will honor philanthropists

The Association of Fundraising Professionals will honor outstanding community philanthropists at a luncheon scheduled for National Philanthropy Day, Nov. 18.
The association will honor Permian Basin residents and organizations in seven categories.
Those selected were “exemplary,” Susan Webb, Philanthropy Day chairman, said.
“It is very difficult to select just a handful of people in the Permian Basin to honor with an outstanding philanthropic award,” she said. “But of the nominations we received, these honorees were chosen because of their tremendous contribution throughout the Permian Basin.”
The luncheon will also feature keynote speaker Shar McBee, author of “To Lead is to Serve,” and two other books about leadership, Webb said
The event is already sold out.
