Japan Today - News - European orchestras to hold charity events for quake survivors - Japan's Leading International News Network: "TOKYO � Two European orchestras plan to hold charity events next week in Tokyo for the survivors of a series of earthquakes in Niigata Prefecture since late October, organizers said Thursday.
The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra will open its rehearsal of Brahms' Symphony No. 2 on Nov 20 at Suntory Hall for 5,000 yen per person while the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra from Britain will hold a charity concert on Nov 16 at Opera City Concert Hall with tickets at 2,000 yen each to play Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor and other pieces.
