The 2008 National Philanthropy Day awardees have been announced. Each year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals—Golden Gate Chapter (AFP-GGC) and Northern California Grantmakers (NCG) mark one special day in November to celebrate the spirit of giving. On this day we recognize individuals and institutions whose exemplary contributions to philanthropy advance the common good in a rich variety of ways throughout Northern California."
