For the first time ever, the AFP chapters of the Triangle, the Triad, and Charlotte will co-host a Statewide Education Conference in 2005. This full-day event will be held at the North Raleigh Hilton. The event is co-sponsored by the NC Center for Non-Profits. Donors: Funding your Future is the theme for the event, which will feature a keynote address with noted speaker Penelope Burk.

The Greater Cleveland Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) will host its annual National Philanthropy Day� awards luncheon on Friday, November 4, 2005 at Signature at LaCentre in Westlake. National Philanthropy Day� is celebrated each year to recognize individuals and organizations in greater Cleveland as part of a national celebration of charitable giving. The following awards will be presented at the luncheon:
Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer Award: Marilyn Cunin nominated by Notre Dame College
Foundation Leadership Award: Deaconess Community Foundation nominated by the Red Cross
Corporate Leadership Award: Sherwin-Williams Company nominated by University Hospitals
Philanthropist Leadership Award: Morton November nominated by the Center for Families & Children
Youth in Philanthropy Award: Amy Poklar nominated by Gilmour Academy "
