Sebos honored for philanthropic ways - SalemNews.net | News, Sports, Jobs, Ohio, Community Information - The Salem News: The Salem residents whose home offers a light display like no other at Christmas time recently received the Outstanding Philanthropist Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals for support of civic, educational and charitable causes. They received the award last month at the National Philanthropy Day Awards in Youngstown.

"We were both honored. We just enjoy being able to help others," Linda said, noting that she and Bob come from similar backgrounds.

Local groups lauded for great works: hilanthropy Awareness Week got its start in Canada in 1996, some 10 years after being established in the United States. Now, the Calgary & Area Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals sees that the good deeds done by local groups and individuals alike are rewarded during the weeklong fete.

OTC honors Bill Foster for his gift to the college | Springfield News-Leader | News-Leader.com: Recently, Foster was named Philanthropist of the Year by the Ozarks Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

The OTC Foundation, now in its 14th year of operation, works to meet the increasing needs of Ozarks Technical Community College through the funding of scholarships, new programs, and capital improvement projects.
