NEW ORLEANS NPD BACK ON TRACK
(Jan. 30, 2006) Even Hurricane Katrina could not stop the spirit of philanthropy in New Orleans, as the chapter will finally hold its National Philanthropy Day celebration on Feb. 9, 2006.
The chapters celebration was originally scheduled for Nov. 17, 2005, but residents were not let back into the city until October. Chapter leaders were not sure whether to delay the event or cancel it altogether. But the important role that philanthropy played in the citys recovery convinced the chapter to postpone it until February."
